Creating a long-term impact with your Great Get Together

What is this event?

The Great Get Together (21-23 June 2024) is the UK’s annual celebration of everything that unites our communities, inspired by Jo Cox’s belief that we have more in common than that which divides us.

We know the Great Get Together’s impact is for more than just one weekend, and that events can be the spark that changes a community. This session shares some of the lessons we’ve learnt on how Great Get Together, and other community, events, can have long term impacts and brings together experts from across the charity sector to share their top tips.

Who is this for?

This session is aimed at anyone who wants to run, or already runs, community events and wants to maximise the long term impact of their events.

What will you get out of it?

Our aim is that participants will leave having learned:

  • How events can have a longer term impact on their community
  • Top tips on how to ensure your event maximises its impact
  • Why the Jo Cox Foundation runs the Great Get Together and how you can be involved with it
