Bringing people together at your Great Get Together

What is this event?

The Great Get Together (21-23 June 2024) is the UK’s annual celebration of everything that unites our communities, inspired by Jo Cox’s belief that we have more in common than that which divides us.

The Great Get Together aims to bring people together from different backgrounds to celebrate what we have in common. Join experts from Hope Not Hate, Kumon Y’All and Cardiff Council’s cohesion team to learn about how you can use community events to bridge divides and bring people together.

Who is this for?

This session is designed to support anyone who wants to bridge divides in their community and bring people together. While it is run as part of the buildup to the Great Get Together, the UK’s annual celebration of what unites our communities, it is open to anyone who wants to learn more about how they can bring their community together.

What will you get out of it?

Our aim is that participants will leave having learned:

  • How community events can bring people together and bridge divides
  • Top tips on how to unite people at events
  • Why the Jo Cox Foundation runs the Great Get Together and what its aims are
