Our Statement: Coming Together Through Challenging Times
At The Jo Cox Foundation, our primary concern at all times is the health and wellbeing of our communities. With this in mind, it will come as no surprise that we have decided to postpone The Great Get Together 2020. It is our aim to reschedule for a date later in the year and we’ll do everything we can to make sure everybody has time to plan for any new date. We will keep you updated regularly as our plans evolve.
Keeping our communities strong, and doing all we can as individuals and collectively to support one another through this difficult time, is going to be essential in the coming weeks and months. We are determined to do everything possible to help with these efforts. We are also mindful that loneliness and enforced social isolation will pose serious problems for many. With your help, we will be supporting those experiencing difficulties in a variety of ways, alongside our partners - and look forward to updating you soon.
In these challenging times, we encourage everyone to act with kindness, compassion and remember that, in Jo's words, we are far more united and have far more in common than that which divides us.
We are always here to answer your questions at [email protected]greatgettogether.org. Please take care of yourselves, your loved ones and your community.
