At The Jo Cox Foundation, we know that small acts of kindness and connection can go a long way in reducing loneliness and helping people feel a sense of belonging. Like Popsa, we believe that reaching out and sharing memories with the people we love is a truly tangible way to prevent people feeling isolated and cut-off from their communities during these challenging times. That is why we are proud to partner with Popsa on their #SendMemoriesStopLoneliness campaign.
Raising Crucial Funds
As part of the campaign, Popsa is donating £5 from every large Hardback Photobook ordered through the Popsa App until the end of June. So far, they have raised an incredible £30,000 to support our campaigning, advocacy and grassroots delivery work to reduce loneliness and build more compassionate communities across the UK.
So until the end of June, not only can you brighten someone’s day by sending a photo book to a loved one, you’ll also make a very real contribution to the fight against loneliness.
Raising Awareness
Through the partnership, Popsa is encouraging and supporting their customers to play a part in reducing loneliness, using our loneliness toolkit and resources developed in partnership with the Marmalade Trust. By building on our understanding, we can help ourselves and others to manage feelings of loneliness.
Supporting our Team
On top of raising crucial funds and awareness, Popsa generously provided pro-bono comms support to the Foundation’s team to help prepare for this year’s Great Get Together on 19th-21st June.
“In the last few months we’ve seen so many instances of people using our photobooks to stay connected; to keep in touch with isolated friends and family. It was this show of community that inspired us to partner with The Jo Cox Foundation, a brilliant charity that works tirelessly to combat loneliness across the UK.”
Liam Houghton, CEO, Popsa
“We’re proud to have joined together with Popsa in a shared mission to tackle loneliness and create a kinder society. Popsa’s support will make an enormous difference in helping more people to understand and recognise loneliness, and inspire people to take small actions to help connect with others during these challenging times. We’re incredibly grateful for their support of Jo’s legacy.”
